OK, I just think these are super adorable. I have no idea if I will like the Captain America movie or not but it would be super fun to have a group of these costumes for a con! (I first caught a glimpse of these in a post Tally made on Facebook)

Those are so cute! And I agree, the bodice looks like it would be the most work, but how sweet would this be to do as a group?!

Of course I am!! I wouldn't have it any other way. I would love to do this one, too...I have some buckram and I loooove the shoes. However, mine may pale in comparison to many of you! I'll say maybe. If my sekrit gown is finished early, definitely.

We have not chosen exact fabric yet, must shop. we may make PDFs or large jpgs of some pattern pieces we draft so that things will match, like the pill box hats should match, the collars that tack on should match, etc. So if you need things, I can shoot them your way without you needing to be on facebook.

It looks like we will make a group! Woohoo! Now if we can all decide on a day we can wear them at D*Con with our varied Schedules. I knew Rex would come through as our Captain too :) (though he can't make it to SDCC, he usually goes to WonderCon and plans to be at D*Con)

I guess a Facebook group will work?

And is it just me, or are the shoes sparkly on the toe, too? o.o

The toes might look sparkly because of the leather being folded, so it is reflecting the light differently than the heel? Just my guess.

I better get moving on my costumes! This feels more attainable than Barriss right now, after all my dye woes :( No dying!

Hey Lily, I found slightly higher res pics and I think you are correct! I found a shoe with only the front sparkled, the back half leather and seems a perfect match. Now to hope Victoria didn't already buy a tan shoe to paint silver... would be cool if we all got the same sparkly shoe!
