Month of Hell: 1st update

Manifest was tiring enough, but as soon as I got back, I was busy again. I spent the whole 2 week after Manifest doing research ( Read more... )

Get out of your hole!! I never see you anymore. You should come to something, at least to see people... that's the best part.

Yeah, sorry bout that. I'm actually *gasp* working hard on my PhD (in my 4th semester now!!!) so I've been studying about 10 hrs a day now, a little bit in the weekend; it makes me really lazy when I have free time. I don't even exercise much despite my plans XD

Well, if there's anything else coming up, I'll turn up. I am going to Malaysia for a month though, starting Nov 12.

the random bishounen winning cosplay is terrible judging ... i would be pretty pissed off too if i had put in so much effort into making my costume, and this guy who's just chucked on his normal clothes won it. What was Widya's reasons behind choosing this guy as the winner??

I'm not sure about the reasons... you would have to ask him. When I went to check on the judges on the Sunday comp., the only female judge was arguing that her favourite cosplayer (which was the girl cosplaying as Riku from Kingdom Hearts) wasn't winning anything which wasn't fair to her. I know it is hard to judge the cosplay, but sometimes you see the obvious best costumes not winning anything.

Eeek, sorry to hear things didn't go so well around your side of the table...is there anyway Helpdesk training could be improved next year in those terms?

I think the best way to improve that would be to use the same volunteer all morning, cause the problem only occured because there was a change of volunteer and they didn't tell each other where they were up to, what was needed to do...
Sunday I had the same 2 volunteers so it was all good.
