An update of sorts

My dad's kitten Mish-Mish spent most of last week with us. It was fun to have a cute kitten around, but it was also annoying because he was a nuisance! The cats weren't particularly happy about it either. Shiva was the most annoyed and didn't want to have anything with humans or cats that week. As soon as Mish-Mish had left it was a different story ( Read more... )

So cute! Indy was livid when my mom brought over her kitten. I can't imagine a whole week!

And... a house?

Yes . . . a house! The market is crazy great right now. We've paid off a lot of debt and have some savings, so it seems a good move right now. I've made a list of several dozen that I am ready to look at in just our nearby area. I've started making arrangements with the bank and I'm just waiting for the realtor to call. She is also helping my sister and her husband too. We are ready to take the plunge! I'm so ready that I want to start packing :P

That is so awesome! As nice as our apartment is, I can't wait to live somewhere where I'm allowed to paint. And there are no people living above us ;)

If we hadn't had to move earlier this year we might have started looking this summer, but I'd like to stay at least another year before packing everything again! (And it ended up costing us about $1000, with all of the deposits and down-payments and such) It will be rough with Justin having to pay for classes, but he's going to be doing that for a looonnng time still.

That is my only problem right now, paying for classes. I have enough to pay for them, but want to use that for towards the down payment. I'm settling on loans because I can't let the low house prices, huge selection, and interest rate pass by. I still owe quite a bit in student loans anyway, what's a bit more.

I wouldn't say never! We aren't big on risk taking and we both like our jobs right now, so we will be here for at least a few more years. We are looking in Gilbert (where we live now). It is going to be a good investment with the economy the way it is now!
