Thank you for the drabble! This feels very right to me for Hermione -- she's definitely impatient with "her" boys, but she does love them, and they're definitely a better fit for her than her dorm-mates.

I loved this! I don't think anyone on my Flist is one of 'those' girls and I'm thankful for that every day, so this drabble got me right in the heart.

It's a spot on vignette.

I love the little hint of sadness in this where Hermione admits it is hard work and tiring when you don't quite fit the perceived 'norm' - and then the admission that she wouldn't change it or them because they are absolutely right for her. I think you got this drabble exactly right, too.:D

For some reason my favorite part is Hermione rolling her eyes. It's a great touch because we don't see Hermione doing it too often in canon or fanon, and yet, when she does it here, it rings perfectly true. Original while feeling completely in line with canon.

And you'd think she'd have to wonder sometimes about the friends she has. I doubt she expected to have two boys for best friends pre-Hogwarts.

Thanks I'm glad you liked it! And I'm glad you could see her rolling her eyes and it wasn't completely out of character!

I wonder whether she had many/any friends pre-Hogwarts, some of her early interactions with her peers are a little clumsy but then she learns it because she's Hermione and that's what she does :)
