Oh, I love this. I may be way off here, and tell me if I am, but I read a double meaning into Molly and Arthur's "forgetting." True, they're aging and the memory will slip, indeed; but the war took a toll on their power to remember things, too; there are moments they've forced themselves to forget to go on. But I read into things, so ignore me if I sound mad.

Well... that hadn't been my particular intention, but I think that when it comes to reading and writing, the reader's interpretation is as, if not more, important and legitimate than the authors intention, so don't worry about sounding mad! I'm flattered that you're thinking so hard about it. :)
