You can go back to that child and tell her she has a place in this world. You still ARE that child. She's inside of you. Tell her how you feel. Get a doll that looks somewhat like you and tell her everything you wish you had heard then. Tell her you love her and that she is beautiful.
It's not just bullshit either. It's been shown to help in a few studies apparently.
