meme hints

I succeeded in making the TV meme harder than the movie meme - several of the shows are still unguessed.

Hence, here are some hints for the remaining quotes of both memes.

MOVIES:

"Ooh, baby, you are so talented! And they are so DUMB!"
Hint: The speaker has successfully calmed down a crowd by pretending to take himself hostage. (Blazing Saddles, ( Read more... )

"You're cutting school? But you like school, remember? You're a geek!"
"I gotta help Mark find a job."
"That's a great idea! I'll cut too and help him find his shoes!"
Hint: The speakers are sisters, and one of them is married to the Mark in question.

That has to be Becky and Darlene on Roseanne, which I thought of yesterday but assumed everyone else would guess it in three seconds, LOL.

*laughs* See? That's why you NEVER WAIT! No one guessed it! Except now you have, yay!

The very last one is Ugly Betty, because apparently, I missed it the first time around.

Yes it is! I think people suffered from fatigue by the time they reached that quote, because I really thought it would be guessed much faster.

Yes, that high-pitched sound on December 30th was me finding it and squealing. There needs to be more of it.

Have you seen the pilot tv episode they put on the most recent DVD release? So very, very bad it makes you cringe.

Nope, I haven't, and by the sound of it I shouldn't.

Yes! Yay! I was starting to think no one would guess that even with the hint. It's one of those movies my family is nuts about, and we tend to quote that particular line to each other rather a lot.

oh! Zorro! The ep with the boy that faught Felipe and they broke the vase and Felipe wore that awful beard!

I KNEW I knew that quote. But it kept making me think about this one:
"He's got guts."
"But if he ain't careful, they'll be all over the place."
(or something like that) from TYR. But I couldn't figure out where from TYR this quote was from. Because it wasn't.

Yes! Glad to see you actually remember the ep and didn't just figure out the show. :-) I quite like Diego's and Alejandro's reactions to Carlos in that ep, even though Carlos himself was not a very good actor (though not as bad as JCG) and some of his scenes a bit cringe-worthy.

But I couldn't figure out where from TYR this quote was from. Because it wasn't.

*laughs* I couldn't think of any good YR quotes - I should have remembered that one!

Do you remember the name of that episode? I keep going to Youtube (which was really wonky on me yesterday - it would load about half of a clip, stop, and I couldn't get anymore no matter what I did. It wasn't my internet connection...) and wanting to watch a Zorro Ep, but can't remember the names of the ones I like.

There's lots of goo TYR quotes, but some are way too obvious. Like:
"I love you too Jimmy, but I'm a better shot, now GIT!"
or "That's a good onion."
or, a personal favorite of mine saved for special occasions...
"You low down mealy mouthed Coyote"

I don't even remember those, except the onion. I remembered Cody going, "You handled that well, Buck," but that's way too unspecific without the name.

And here you go, first part of the Zorro ep! I've been watching all of them and am midway through season 3 now (though I've cheated a bit and seen a couple from later on too). The third season Christmas ep just never ceases to be WTF-y.
