the ladies of Moff

Yet another post about female characters in a very short time. Yes, I'm sorry to harp on the same subject so much. Thing is, I've had this post lying around for a while about the women on Moffat's shows, and why I like them so much. Only my computer broke down. And then Blink aired. And then I started watching Jekyll and had to take that into ( Read more... )

Thank you so much for once again reminding me of how much I love the Moff. And his ladies.

You did, however small she may be, forget one woman, the finest woman he ever created, Jeffina <3.

I do love Sally, but lately her whining has tired me and I have taken a greater liking to Susan again, with all her apparently's and being all appropriate, yes she is a good girlfriend, with all her sides.

Ah, Jeffina. :-) I must say I like her better as a man, though.

You should see Jekyll, even though I've given away the ending now.

Lovely post (found it through the link in your most recent). Like you, I don't care what kind of a twit Moffat is in his real life as long as he keeps doing female characters well in his fiction.

Sarah I think is the weakest link, really, if I must choose one.

I think some of the problems with Sarah stem from the fact that she was played by a weaker actor than most of the others.

That's entirely possible. I haven't seen her in anything else - I don't think she remained an actress - so I can't tell for sure.

I haven't seen her in anything else, either. She certainly has her moments - the 'killer on the line' episode is certainly one of them - but on the whole I don't think she quite stacks up against the other female cast members in the performance department.
