Dear misters Penham, Watson, and Reynolds: One "OMG we're related!" revelation is quite enough for a movie. Two is overkill. Which I assume you know, considering it was cut out of the original version

Seeing RHPoT for the first time in -92 led to a deep crush on Christian Slater that lasted until he stopped making decent movies. And even now, seeing him guest star on West Wing sent my heart aflutter. I'm so weak.
And yeah, Will is still pretty great, in a "seething-with-revenge-slash-cheerful-and-cheeky (depending on which day of the week it is)" way. But he's definitely not a dreamer.
...Oh my god. It might have been a movie called Cuffs that started it. Maybe. If so, that´s so sad. *mortified*
I never saw that one. I remember enjoying him in Young Guns, Mobsters, Untamed Heart, Pumpup the Volume, and obviously Heathers. And then Bed of Roses very nearly killed all interest. That movie sucked *badly*.
*Snickers* Certainly not a dreamer in the way I think of a dreamer, no.
Not in the least.
And another fun trivia tidbit: He ad libbed the line "Fuck me, he cleared it!" and the director kept it in since he liked it and since they were allowed *one* "fuck" before the movie became R-rated.
you've almost got me thinking "I should see that movie again" (I haven't seen it since it came out, and I've forgotten half the people who were in it). but. . . probably mocking Christian Slater's out of period hair and accent not QUITE enough motivation to rent the puppy.
I don't think his hair is out of period - hanging tresses is pretty universal.
As for the accents (his and Costner's both), I'd love to hear an in period one. *snort*
Oh, yeah, didn't warn you: I may make derisive comments about my childhood favourites, but it doesn't mean I won't snarl at anyone who tries the same. *grin*
I have this really long and rambly thought that I meant to make into a post yesterday, but LJ was down and I found some work ads I wanted to answer and... well, I didn't. I will, though.
