Yep! Would you like some? I don't know if it's as good as the cake-shops back home, but I think it turned out pretty good.

A cake? What kind is it? [Not that it matters!] Might even a poor, lowly servant like me merit a piece?

Actually, it's sort of three different kinds. [ she looks back over her shoulder, about to explain, then laughs a bit as she hears him describe himself. ]

Of course you deserve a piece! The offer stands for everyone.

It's more a survival skill. If I'd let my mom do all the cooking when I was growing up, I would have died.
