I found the ingredients when I went out two days ago. I made the cake myself.

That's a very impressive display of talent for a girl your age.

It's more a survival skill. If I'd let my mom do all the cooking when I was growing up, I would have died.

Not exactly. Dad could cook fine, when he wasn't too busy. Mom just felt she had to try and make up for all the times she was away due to work.

Is that where the obsessive eating occurred?

I don't think so. [ obsessive eating? ] I've always had a really big appetite.
