I had my first case of galloping monilia years before I was sexually active. Sex has nothing to do with it; it's the balance of flora in your vaginal tract. In my case, I'd had MASSIVE doses of antibiotics for my appendectomy and they killed off the good bacteria, and bingo: yeast and full on thrush (which included underarms, under the breasts, in my throat, etc.

You're lucky: out here you get a pap and if you hear nothing, you're fine. LOL I wish they mailed the stuff out again but apparently it's some privacy invasion?

One of my major rages at OB is that they always do a pregnancy test on me too. Ummm haven't had sex in YEARS. NOPE. They don't trust me, so I get to pee in a cup for them. Classy.
