So on Friday the 13th (awesome, huh?) both

apollymi and I had our annual gyno appointments. With the new insurance the university has us on, the ordeal trip didn't cost either of us a dime. While there, I asked my doctor about going onto Seasonale (for those who don't know, that's the pill that after a few months knocks the menstrual cycle down to 4 times a year rather than the usual 12, and given how much trouble I have with that happy-fun-time... less is best) and she agreed to let me give it a try. I just started on it yesterday, so I'll see how things go.
So, about midweek or so, I get an email from the doctor saying that I had my test results up on the Med-Portal. Yep, my gyno has gone high-tech and no longer mails out paper notifications. How exciting! Anyways, I logged into my account and checked over my test results... and have to blink because - yayz! - my pap came back "within normal parameters with signs of yeast."
Yes, the asexual virgin managed to get a yeast infection.
Because of the yeast, for whatever reason - maybe a misunderstanding when I said "I haven't been sexually active in the past year or ever" - they tested me for chlamydia as well. Not surprisingly that came back a huge negative.
At any rate, I'm currently using Monistat-7 to deal with the infection. It's a pain in the ass (not to mention other things) but I'm willing to deal with the discomfort to get this dealt with ASAP.
In other, better news, it's only 2 weeks until Yami and I meet up with

roguegambit and her hubby to marathon Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, and The Avengers. I'm so damned excited about this; it's been an age since I saw a movie on opening day, and never a midnight showing (which is what time the final movie in the queue begins). I've also never spent a full 12+ hours at the movies before, which is gonna be kind of exciting and new as well.
Also, my arm has healed up from where I gave blood last Tuesday (seriously, are the only people in the world who know how to hit a vein on the first try the folks who work at LabCorp? Because they're the only ones who don't bruise the ever-loving hell outta my arm...) and I was able to start up my Tabata workout again this morning. Today's routine was six sets up wall push-ups at 20-10 intervals followed by six sets of squats at 20-10 intervals. I managed to average out 15 reps per set in the push-ups and 17 reps per set in the squats... which means I did 90 wall push-ups and 102 squats in under six minutes. Seriously, I feel so pumped after doing my morning Tabata routines!
Tomorrow's routine will be six sets of rows (three for each arm) with a 5lb dumbbell and six sets of crunches (three normal and three reverse). I'm still contemplating throwing in some burpees either this evening or tomorrow evening, as I want to try and get them in at least three days a week. Those are definitely not part of my Tabata as yet, although I may at some point switch them out with my wall push-ups once I get a hang on them....
