Title: What time has told
Rating: NC-17 ... (*snicker*) (slight non-consensual depends on how you read it. I don't see it, but it was brought to my attention that it could be construed that way. I had no intention of writing Guy raping Marian. Again I apologize if anyone is offended, but you've been warned.)
Word count: ~ 3300

very interested to see where you take Guy on this one -- knowing what we know about his canon character arc I can't think that he'd be happy with a marriage like this.
I ended up just selecting the whole thing so I could read it.

ETA: If you are interested in "historical accuracy", there was no such thing as a marriage certificate in the 12th Century.

The word rape, in general use, means sexual intercourse without express consent. The absence of consent makes any sex, whether leading to orgasm or not, rape. It doesn't matter if physical force is used, absence of consent is the issue. If the answer is not 'yes', it is 'no'. The default is 'no'. Lack of consent (by either word or gesture) means 'no'.
Issues of consent (= dubcon) can apply where one or both of the parties are not able to give consent, or give consent under duress. In this case, no consent is given. Marian is raped. Simple and clear.
