Title: What time has told
Rating: NC-17 ... (*snicker*) (slight non-consensual depends on how you read it. I don't see it, but it was brought to my attention that it could be construed that way. I had no intention of writing Guy raping Marian. Again I apologize if anyone is offended, but you've been warned.)
Word count: ~ 3300

I always did think it was unrealistic that Guy let Marian run away. He was so dark the first season. I guess in retrospect it was a foreshadowing of nicer!Guy who we saw second season. I'd say Marian is in for it now :)

very interested to see where you take Guy on this one -- knowing what we know about his canon character arc I can't think that he'd be happy with a marriage like this.

I ended up just selecting the whole thing so I could read it.

You capture Guy really well, and even though he starts being all horrible, you can't hate him, because he still wants Marian to be happy and to enjoy their marriage. He is simply determined for it to be. Can't wait to see more of Guy's reactions to Marian, especially her tears. Feels v. cliffy to me, but perhaps that's just because I'm impatient for more Guy ;) V. well written over all!

I'm sorry, but Guy forcing Marian to have sex with him while she repeatedly and continuously struggles and says no is rape, whether or not she has an orgasm. Frankly, I find this story's Guy irredeemably repulsive.

ETA: If you are interested in "historical accuracy", there was no such thing as a marriage certificate in the 12th Century.

Thank you fo ryour plethora of comments as with regards to my story. I appreciate any kind of review, and i understand that quite obviously this is not your thing. I have been trying to add disclaimers etc, but honestly I got the idea the first time you posted. ;)

You have been "trying" to add disclaimers? So far you've ignored statements from several people, including the guyxmarian list mod, pointing out that your current disclaimer is quite offensive in itself with the statement that "if she had a good orgasm it wasn't rape."

I haven't ignored anyone Lady. This is you opinion, and it is shared, and I respect that but I can't please everyone. I clearly stated in the initial post that this fic is not light and fluffy. I have added several disclaimers since you brought your issue with my story to my attention about three days ago. I don't appreciate you flaming me when you have no idea what I've been doing. I am making an attempt to be professional and respectful. I suggest you do the same. If you want to continue this, then message me privately.

I'm profoundly disturbed by this. This is a rapefic. It should come with a RAPE warning three metres high, and a rating of at least NC17.

The word rape, in general use, means sexual intercourse without express consent. The absence of consent makes any sex, whether leading to orgasm or not, rape. It doesn't matter if physical force is used, absence of consent is the issue. If the answer is not 'yes', it is 'no'. The default is 'no'. Lack of consent (by either word or gesture) means 'no'.

Issues of consent (= dubcon) can apply where one or both of the parties are not able to give consent, or give consent under duress. In this case, no consent is given. Marian is raped. Simple and clear.

Please could you add an appropriate disclaimer and modify the rating accordingly.

I appreciate your opinion, and I have made additions to the disclaimer and tags accordingly.

I want to word this right. I don’t want it to seem as if I am attacking you as a person. That is not my intention. My hope is that you might come to understand why I have a problem here and why some others do as well ( ... )
