...Ha. As if I needed any more reasons to love this show.

Oh, but speaking of fashion, I wanted to say that I looove the silhouettes in stores right now. Such a great mix of mod-inspired tops and dresses and jackets, with the nice crisp trapezoidal shapes, and the softer, loose-fold ( Read more... )

Haha that trailer is genius.

Hm I think that style of clothes is really lovely and elegant, just lots of stores don´t cut the clothes right so they don´t work: i.e. not making the waists tight enough so the dresses just look like a tent or starting the folds on the top of the boobs so that most women look pregnant when they wear them. Anyway, it´s not the right style of fashion for me so all I´ve bought is the neo-50s stuff.

Yeah, I love the neo-50s stuff as well, and am pleased that it remains in style. The 50s hourglass works really well for the girls who may not work with empire waists, and looks great on larger, curvier women so all is good.

I definitely agree about the tent dresses when the cut isn't right, which is why I mentioned needing the right fit for it to work. Also, this has nothing to do with anything, but ugh, I gained 10 lbs over the course of the spring and summer, and now I'm a bit confused as to what works best on me. Which is why I'm enjoying the eye candy but not buying.

It all comes down to figure, so as long as you wear stuff that works with your figure your weight doesn´t really matter unless you become extremely skinny or fat I should think. Figures can change though, I guess.

Besides the ubiquitious Skinny Jean (which just looks tragic on some people), I am also pretty happy with the way fall fashion is looking.

Yeah, the skinny jean is why I'm annoyed at the fact that I gained 10 lbs. I could have carried it off before but I think not so well now.

Oh well! At least this means I get to fill out the 50s-style outfits better!
