Today my roomate and I went shopping at Ikea for cheap furniture. Hurrah for 12 dollar coffee tables and inexpensive kitchen equipment! Also, there were delicious vegan tea-cakes in their bakery.

After that I rushed to go see An (mizo_no_oto) read her poetry at Bluestockings, along with Leslie Feinberg (author of Stone Butch Blues and Drag King Dreams). ( Read more... )

I have never read An's poems, but I'm sure they are excellent. So don't be offended...LESLIE FEINBERG!? Holy Fuck. I mean, Leslie's like a super-hero. Woah. You're not supposed to see them in the flesh, just flying above on their way to fight for queer stuff...

No, I kind of thought you'd be excited about Leslie. :-) Who, by the way, was extremely nice and sweet and charming.

...I wanted to put a photo of An together with Leslie here, but I see that An kept that entry as friends-only. So I'll just put in a photo of Leslie reading.
