In general, I'm not a fan of anti-body-type egalitarian fashion trends. But as far as legwear-choices-that-only-vaguely-make-aesthetic-sense-if-you-are-tall-and-skinny go, I don't think leggings are half as bad as gauchos.
Both of those look awful, except I've seen people pull off gauchos with boots (not with flip-flops like in that pic), and that can't be said for leggings.
Anyway, almost all fashion trends exclude one body type and flatter another; that's to be expected. There should just always be other options available.

And yeah, I was young, but fashion always bleeds over into the next decade by a few years. Also, 80s movies were enough to make me properly scared.
