Aw, what a sweet, romantic scene of chemistry and instant attraction. I love the description of blushing, flustered Percy on the verge of what promises to be a grand passion, and while I know very little about Sulu, I like him already for making Percy react that way. ;)

Also... this is a bit random but oh for a glass or two of that thrice-spiked punch!

Thank you so much! I love the idea that cool, mellow but totally bad ass Sulu could complement Percy so well. Sulu is my absolute favorite in Trek and Percy is WAY up on my list of HP favorites, so this was a lot of fun to do.

Haha, yes! One glass would probably do me in! I just thought it was funny to have a group that would have all these people taking it upon themselves to spike the punch and no one realizing HOW SPIKED it had become until well into the evening. Hehe! :) This is now head canon for me at any sort of holiday party featuring any or all of those three. :)

i may have yelled aloud at the "oh my" (not as lout as the "EEE!" last night in the movie theater when the into darkness trailer came on, but still actual audible noise.

i'd be interested to see more about how the worlds intertwine.

this was lovely

Haha, yes! I had to use the patented George Takei Oh, my! in this one! So much fun with this one. :)

Gorgeous! It really does really work!

Thanks so much. I love that description of Sulu's eyes being like space. It summoned the Star Trek opening sequences (original TV series, I'm afraid I've not seen the recent movie).

I love this story. It's certainly cheered me up. I shall think of it when preparations get too much for me. Again, thank you!

YAY! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed this and thought it worked. I adore you for being so excited about this pairing, because after I said it completely jokingly ... yeah, I totally wanted to do it for real! I'm so glad that that description worked-- I was totally trying to evoke a bit of the big beautiful Trek 'verse into this without actually getting into time travel/alternate universes/etc. Well, no matter that you've not seen the new one (though you should as it's AMAZING BEYOND WORDS!) because the Sulu in this story was actually far more Takei than Cho. Well, at least the voice and the eyes and the Oh, mys and the smirky smile. Cho is serious, a little more rough-and-tumble, and adorable. I cannot get enough of his eyebrows either. *grabby hands* So those two sort of merge together in my mind to create my brain!Sulu, whom I love so dearly ( ... )

Well, here's a new pairing! Sweet to see Percy falling so hard and trusting his instincts. :)

Haha, yeah! I'm shocked we haven't seen more of this pairing! *boggles* *giggles* I did love the idea of Percy encountering something that inspired him to ignore that loud rational voice inside just once and follow his heart. And I just thought that Hikaru, so cool, calm, collected ... he just inspires that kind of immediate trust (at least when he's not forgetting the external inertial dampeners ... oh, my dear boy!) He's not too flashy but he's very engaging and I just felt like Percy could be easily drawn to that.

Plus I just like Sulu paired with adorable, geeky, pale, freckly, socially awkward geniuses! ;-) You caught me!
