LJ Ate December 11th! (and Hikaru in my dreams and iffy roadhouses)

LJ deleted December 11, 2010. For me, at least. I'm so completely confused. I only noticed it, because it was in the middle of my holiday drabbly bits and the calender showed that I didn't post anything that day, which was silly, because I posted religiously every morning for 16 days. I looked into it further and somehow the entry has vanished

I don't know how to get it back, but you could repost it without screwing up the order.

You could just customise the date. Click on that tiny EDIT next to the date boxes, and set the date, and click "entry out of order" box.

I'm just sad to lose the comments. And I'll know it's out of order, even if it looks properly organized. *sigh* You're right, but I keep hoping that it will reappear just as miraculously as it vanished. :/ Probably not. SAD!

It is completely weird. I just have no idea what happened. It seems that there must have been a weird glitch or something. Maybe everything posted in a few minute period on that day or something? Because I left that comment immediately after posting the fic. Plus, I checked and comments that I left earlier and later that day were still there. I am so confused. And SAD! I loved that story and I've lost the lovely comments. D:

This seemed too random and too weird and too all at one time not to be a glitch in the system. I don't know what happened though. I hope they figure it out and that other people report their lost entries too so that LJ realizes that something happened. I've also noticed that I've lost a ton of my tags, but I'm not sure when they disappeared either. I've just not been paying attention. It could have been December 11th or I don't know. This is just so strange. I hope that someone offers an answer/solution soon. *waits impatiently*

Weirdness. Maybe if you open a support request about it they can manage to coax it back from whatever black hole it escaped to? If not, you should definitely repost it, though I wouldn't backdate, but rather give it a chance to be read and get some new comments to replace those that are gone! (I'll gladly repost mine - I still have it in my email inbox somewhere. :)

Yes! I don't know what happened! When did it go missing? Do you remember when you looked? I only noticed it last night and I'm very upset! D: And my comment to you that it had been posted has vanished too-- I'm so confused.

I think I shall open a support request. Perhaps they can find it. I just don't know what happened ... I've never done a support request. I was actually just browsing through the home page trying to figure out how to do it when saw this comment. (Also, not getting comment notifications now. What is happening?!)

I don't know, LJ is so randomly stupid sometimes :( How weird that your comment to me about it vanished too. Has every comment or post you made on Dec 11 just gone *poof*?

I suck at remembering times for things, but I think it was around Christmas Eve or the following couple of days that I went to look for it - I was going to re-read it and put it in in my memories. I really hope the support people can help you get it back. Losing comments sucks. But do repost it if you can't get it back, because I want to read it again! ♥

I opened a support request, so we shall see how that pans out. This is so frustrating. Why couldn't it be one of my lame, commentless whinging posts about silly whatever? Ugh. I will let you know what I find out, whenever they tell me whether it's gone forever or if it's retrievable. I somehow feel it's gone, which is crushing. If it's not able to be restored, I'll definitely repost it-- don't worry. But I'll wait til they tell me for sure if they can drag it back from the black. *sigh* I had no idea that it had vanished! And I'm thinking maybe it was just that couple minute span there-- because I posted that comment to you immediately after posting the fic. And I just checked and comments that I left the night before (which were posted as December 11th UTC) and later that day are still there. *throws arms up* I have no idea!!! ARGH! It seems so random. I'll let you know what I find out. *crosses fingers*

That's so weird about your disappearing entry! :-(

I use ljArchive to back up my journals. It won't recover your old entry, unfortunately, but it will back up what you have now in case this ever happens again.

Oh my goodness, Chak-- you have no idea. It was amazing. I soooo wish I could have gone back into it and really reveled, but my subconscious would probably have screwed me over anyway, so maybe it's for the best. *closes eyes and wishes hard*

Thanks for the moving luck! I'll need it! Moving guys come in 3 days and I'm not home til late tomorrow! *runs in circles*
