OBSIDIA DINGED 70!!!

Questing in the Kirin Var village in south-east Netherstorm pushed her over the edge and she became my second character to hit level 70! WOOHOO!

I have the rep to get it on Skarlette, but since she already has two epic flying mounts I'm saving the gold to get Obsidia one. I will probably shell out for it eventually, as it looks really cool.

She already soloed one of the little Mountain Gronn that wander near the legion camps in western Nagrand. It was a green elite to her at the time and took some creative fear kiting, but she killed him. :)

My mage is 68, I was wondering if you could recommend any sites for mages. I don't plan to raid with him, and I can't really PVP as he's fire and frost is the PVP spec as I understand it. Other than the Spellfire set, what should I be working toward?

I don't have any sites bookmarked that are all mage stuff, but I read the Arcane Brilliance column over at WoW Insider. And sometimes you can glean something useful from the official forums, in between the whining and the idiocy.

If you're not raiding, and even if you are, in some cases, the tailored epics are the best you can get.
The last boss in Heroic Underbog drops an awesome wand, the Black Stalk. I'm still using that.
If you're Scryer, the Bloodgem trinket you get access to at Revered is very nice. Also, the Quagmirran's Eye trinket is great. I never managed to get my hands on it, but I see a lot of people using it, even post-Kara.
The best trinket you can aim for is the Icon of the Silver Crescent, that's from the old badge reward vendor in the middle of Shat. He also sells a very nice necklace that's comprable to the best from Karazhan. I don't know how much access you have to Heroic Badges on that character, but it's something to save up for.
