Neo who?

Dad and I watched The Matrix tonight on TV. He had seen the second movie in the trilogy, but not the first. o_0 I had seen the first one a couple years ago, but not the second one. This viewing made much more sense for both of us. LOL! In fact, I really really enjoyed it this time, while the first time was more like, "Um, okay, received. I ( Read more... )

Now I can't wait to rent the second one and then go out and see the third one. ^_^; I'm a bit behind the times, what can I say?

S: Not...another...*interest*...

Kat, snap her out of it!!! o_O ;-) j/k

He watched the entire second movie and has lived in this media-saturated society of ours for all this time, and he honestly thought the hero of The Matrix is named Neil.

S: Uh, Katie, you must realize that you're talking to someone that as a ten year-old in a movie theatre watching "Ghostbusters" for the first time and because of Venkman's "Nice shootin', Tex!" line in the restaurant/Slimer scene I actually thought there was a Ghostbuster named "Tex". Go figure. :p o_O ;-)

(And if you don't have the foggiest idea of what I mean, don't even try to think about it, kay?! ;-) j/k)

Anyway, glad you had a good time!

Umm.... Okayyyy... **blushes to solar level colors from major embarassment** @_@

The previous comment I made about the Ghostbusters thing was supposed to go here. I didn't notice I botched that one up thinking it was part of Katie's original post and not Schroeders. Sorry about the little wierd mix up.

**goes to beat the cob-webs out of his head**

I wouldn't say I'm obsessed by ANY means, and with the lack of pirates I don't see myself getting that way, but it was an enjoyable flick, certainly. ;)

That's a funny coincidence! I thought the EXACT Same thing when I first saw Ghostbusters, going for a long time thinking that Egon's last name was 'Tex'. Hehe :)

We saw the third Matrix tonight. Warren was disappointed. I didn't like it much either. Some cool fight scenes and Agent Smith is as kickass as usual, but a lot of confusion, needlessly long violence, and plot holes you could fit the Titanic through. One of Warren's friends said of the second and third movies that it's like a longer, more elaborate version of the first movie split in two. Not exactly accurate, but there is a sense of redundancy. And repetetiveness. And of the same thing happening again... Another of his friends saw it and said, "Now I know what the live action Dragon Ball Z movie will be like."

Live action Dragon Ball Z? *shudder*

Ya, the reviews of the 3rd one in the USA Today and ECLT were both lukewarm. Too bad. I'm planning renting the 2nd one as soon as I can (heaven only knows when "as soon as I can" will be , these days, but...) and then go see the 3rd one. But if I don't get to see it in the theater I won't be too upset, either. I'd rather see Brother Bear on the big screen. ;)
