I'm two chapters from the end of Return of the King. I put it aside back in January when school started up again, as I didn't want it to get lost amid the hectic pre-graduation crap. Now that I have time to give it the attention it deserves, I've plowed through it quite quickly

Return of the King was my utmost favorite of the three books, even though my favorite scene in LOTR was in Fellowship. Some of the parts in brought ROTK brought me to tears though, especially during the siege of Gondor when Rohan finally comes to their aid. I LOVE that part!

That makes two of us anxiously awaiting the release of Return this year.

I think Tolkien was bi. There is subtext beyond the whole master/servant thing, I'm sorry. Talk about brotherly love. Just wait til you read the appendix! I don't want to give it away but yeah, they wind up spending a LOT of quality time together.

LOL, yeah.

I finished RotK last night (at like 2 AM *gleep*) but have yet to go through the appendicies. Sounds interesting! LOL
