If it helps, I am currently sitting with an ice pack on the side of my knee which until today has been fine! (And I have a second one ordered from amazon so I can continue to ice a knee and an ankle at the same time!!)
Right? So sad! Oh for young and supple joints. (Actually my joints were never supple, even when I was a kid. The Presidential Fitness Test was the worst, I couldn't even do well on the flexibility bit that all the girls were supposed to be good at.)
I'm glad your ankle is feeling better! And I did go on that hike-in-the-creek outing on Saturday and finished it without spraining anything, thank the Lord. Although today, EVERYTHING hurts because I was so freakin' tense the entire time with a death grip on my pole, bracing myself for a bad fall (I mean, I did fall a few times 'cause the rocks were fucking slippery, but nothing major.)
See ya in four days and may all our limbs and joints be still functional until then!

But I only have to walk 150 or so miles. :)

I signed up for one of those "wading in waist-deep water in a creek" crazy hikes this Saturday and am starting to doubt the wisdom of that choice...

Everyone think good thoughts at my feet, because all I need at this point is for my plantar fasciitis to flare up...

The ankle is mostly fine now? I'm going to do an hour in the park Tuesday morning and see how that goes - some hills, but no rough footing.
