Bwahahaha! "It was kind of like someone took the biggest con I've ever been to, multiplied it by a thousand, fed it some acid and then set it on fire. --marzilla on Dragon*Con 2009
PS. OK, that sounds pretty much like every Dead Show I've ever been too. I'm just sayin'. ;)

Ah, Dragoncon. Klingon Karaoke remains the highlight of my year. Well, that and the Farscape panel. Uh, and Rocky Horror at 3 in the morning in '08 (I accidentally invited Michael Rosenbaum, but I think he was drunk) with a thousand people all hollering different things. Oh, and that time I spent 15 minutes standing in the middle of the Walk of Fame, staring at Ben Browder like a creeper. Also, the time I got to explain to Gareth David-Lloyd what Bar2D2 is ("It's a robot that dispenses drinks." "Really?" "Yup."). Ooh, and one of my favorite comics artists dressed as Captain Kirk, drunk, and hitting on me in character.
I really hadn't been expecting to! I was just walking by, went "oh, I've never seen Ben or Claudia in person before, that's neat-- wait a minute, I've been standing here for five minutes and don't seem to be able to look away." I actually called a friend and made her pretend to have a conversation with me, so I'd look like I was on the phone and not just staring creepily.
The one time I was that close to BB, I was in the green room, and I was so worried about appearing like a creeper that I hid behind my hair and pretended I didn't know he was there.
... I may be a bit neurotic in my horror of crazy fannish behavior.
