It feels like I wasted this day, somehow.

At least, let's HOPE that Cherryh also wants us to smack Bren sometimes. I can't even remember where DEFENDER falls in the sequence. If that's not the latest one, though, I have the ones after, if you want to borrow. I've liked the latest ones okay, although the action starts to feel repetitive after a while.

I had to stop reading the Foreigner sequence, I admit, because there was a bit too much of wanting to thwap people and not enough enthusiasm in me.

Still, I really love quite a number of her novels. Just not those ones.

It's #5, the middle book of the second trilogy. I'd love to borrow the later ones you have, actually; I re-read Foreigner several months ago in preparation for getting rid of it if I still didn't like it, and enjoyed it a lot more this time around, so I've been working my way through the rest of the series.

At least, let's HOPE that Cherryh also wants us to smack Bren sometimes.

Well, either that or she has a spectacularly bad relationship with her mother.

Thank you for the heads up about Chuck. I so hope that show doesn't get cut, it's really quite delightful.

So, did it snow up there again yesterday?

Briefly and only about an inch or two. For once when they said that they mean it. ;)

But the sheer mountains of snow lying about the place are amazing. I kind of like it.

Oh, and I meant to add, about Chuck....Adam Baldwin continues to amaze. Yay!

I didn't think it was possible for anyone to have a blacker thumb than me, but even I, Rosie the Plant Killer, managed to keep a philodendron alive for a couple of years. :-D

I once killed an air fern.
I watered it.

It stayed alive for a while! The problem was that I decided it was a good idea to repot it, and... did a bad job of it. Poor thing.

I did have a jade plant for a while that survived my care, but that's mostly because when I moved out of WA I gave it, in a somewhat sickly state, to a co-worker who's good with plants. So hopefully she rescued it.

I left the building! I... stepped ten feet from my door to let the dog pee in the yard. I didn't even do laundry! I suck!
