The story that wasn't

I never reached the J/D in this, though obviously it was supposed to show up eventually. SG-1, also S4 or S5.

In Which Not All Intelligent Life Can Be Bipedal )

fic, sg-1 fanfic, stargate sg-1

Oh, such a cool start... even unfinished it's still very cool.

Thanks! I like it to, but it was clearly not going to be finished in the next, you know, two years, so.

Oh, I hope you'll finish this!

"Daniel," Jack said, "that parrot is talking to me."

*dies* Yes, well. I can see how Jack would be unsettled by that. *g* Kekari has quite a distinct voice -- funny, a little indignant, smart, with a very self-contained worldview.

I'd like to--I love Kekari too. We'll see. Free it of the ficathon and I don't have to wedge in J/D, either, which would be a lot easier.

Wow. This is my favorite kind of storytelling, that dumps you into a new world and then slowly unfurls all of the parts as you go along. Add to that great characterization for SG-1, and perfect dialogue. You rock!

PS, it may be unfinished, but I think it actually works very well as it is, too ;)

Thank you! Yeah, I liked Kekari, and her world. They're fun.

I also hope that you finish this. It would be very sad for something so good to be orphaned.

Thanks! We'll see. I kind of know what the shape of the story would be, but it'd be long.

Oh, I love your world-building. And Kekari, who is far braver than she knows. She's got a marvelous distinctive voice.

Doesn't she? I really like her, the old version looking back and the young one in the "present" both.

She's wary about the little things, but the big things, no. It occurs to me just now that she and Daniel have some things in common.
