good point about tyler, he seems a bit baffled by how personally everyone else is taking everything. although all bets are off when he figures out who's really responsible for the taxi thing.
as for the yield....i was baffled by how they thought it wasn't fair. er, it's part of the game. *headdesk*
as for eric and jeremy....please. i'm starting to burn sage to poseidon hoping they lose. and yup, karma. heh.
exactly. and you've picked the perfect word in "repugnant". karma may not be so instant in their case, but hopefully it will eventually catch up with them.
1. Using one of the legal tools of the game, i.e. "the Yield" = not fair 2. Speeding 120K on a 100K road, when it's against race rules = fair (Note, if I recall, they do get a minor time penalty or something for that deducted next leg, or they used to. We'll see what happens next week) 3. Parking awkwardly and beating a team in a foot race = not fair (well, I may give her the parking thing) 4. Pretending to be another team and cancelling their cab = fair
Grr, hate hate hate Mo-Jo.
Frat boys...ugh. Thinking he had a chance with Yolanda? Priceless
Hippies, well, I've always kinda liked the hippies, even when their shtick gets tres annoying. Their general attitude (not the hamminess) is always a race plus.
Ray and Yolanda: I hope they keep their act together, plus they got one of the best prizes, aside from that fratboy early prize of cold cash. Go Team Chicago!
Yeah, the fair/not fair thing is annoying. I mean, I get that they're under a whole lot of pressure, and so speaking objectively I'm sympathetic for people behaving in ways they wouldn't normally, but that doesn't mean it won't irritate me onscreen.
Other than my ARGH, all I've got is -- why in the world would the TAR folks put a Yield on a non-elimination leg? WHY? Completely negates the point, doesn't it?
Yolanda's smile as she rested her head on Ray's shoulder at the Pit Stop was absolutely adorable. Oh, I hope they manage to keep it together and win.
Cancelling people's taxis (or just standing by and laughing as it's done) is wrong, pure and simple. I'm glad karma kind of bit Eric and Jeremy in the ass for that. I hope MoJo gets their comeuppence soon. (Seriously, though, how can MoJo believe the hippies are being all underhanded and mean and personal when they're so clearly not being that way? Boggles the mind.)
Yolanda does have an adorable smile. She just needs to relax, you know?
I don't think the hippies are all sweetness and light; I mean, they did use the Yield as a threat, then they followed through, they tried to get Joseph off-balance by intimating that Monica and one of the sleazeboys were interested in each other, etc. But yeah, I really think they think they're just, you know, playing the game.
