I can't even remember what was happening. She was being annoying and I was more short-tempered than usual so I shouted at her (seriously about 4 words) and she cried a little bit, mostly through shock probably.

Man, I wish I'd been there. I bet it was about hair.

Your answer for kids is almost word for word what mine would be (minus the babysitting and fake aunt, but only because I don't really know any local people with kids).

I think I have been doing your share of theatre-going this year! :)

i would love to talk about it! what do you like the most about being a librarian, bb? do you plan to be a librarian forever? would your ideal library be small/big/the ideal one you'll build yourself? :D/something else?

I am lol most easily pleased and just like helping the users. To me, it's really obvious how to search for a book or a journal article but I show them how to do it and they're all o__o. I like working in a small library because it means you get a lot more variety - often in a large one you'll just end up doing one thing all the time (of course my library service as a whole is massive, but I live in a tiny corner of it). I sometimes think of going off to work in a public library as a children's/young peoples' librarian, but obviously there aren't really any new jobs around at the moment and I have a tendency to be slightly complacent anyway. But yes, I probably will be a librarian forever, unless something really shiny and enticing comes along!

I'm glad you realised that leaving The Dirty North was for the best and moved to London. The South is clearly much better. :p I've had that argument so many times with my friends, and it usually starts because they don't know how to pronounce "glass" correctly.

I think you'll find it is you who does now know how to pronounce it correctly. >:( I love London but I am a lol defensive Yorkshire wife.

(Although I do love having this argument - any British person can join in and we can all insult each other happily!)

Librarian, oh man. Lucky you!

Also, ahhaha, I've got an honorary nephew through my best friend. The best thing about babysitting is giving the kid back, LMAO
