So, Liss and I went to see Hancock and it was... not entirely what I was expecting. Spoilers ahead.

Me and Leigh saw it last night too. I too agree it was not what I was expecting and I too saw the Charlize thing coming (I thought they'd either had an affair Hancock couldn't remember or she too was sooper and when it came to light he lost his memory 80 years ago I thought 'oh, sooper then'). It was... weird. It was pretty short, other films might've gone over two hours and introduced a super evil adversary but this one didn't. It was a bit like a pilot for a longer series, IDK IDK. The sprinklers/rain thing was a bit overdone, though it had Leigh gripped. IDK. I liked it but it wasn't what I was expecting. Also, I really think people should pay more attention to the 12A certificate because the kids (all of which must've been under 10) behind us talked almost all the way through, asking 'what did she say?' and 'what's he doing?' and yelping and blargh. Kids. :P ( ... )

There was one kid nearby us who asked his dad a couple of questions but was generally very good but yes, 12As are annoying - there was a whole rant about then on the Empire blog recently that was both amusing and truthy,

IKD, it might have worked as a set up for a series but as much as I wanted to like it I sort of didn't. Well, that's not quite true but I think having no real opinion either way is possibly worse.

I found it less weird than I thought I would, seeing Heath on the screen. I think enough time has passed now, although it is still slightly odd and obviously sad.

I know what you mean. I mean, I'm fairly sure I liked it and that's hardly a huge compliment lol

It's mostly fine really, watching Heath movies, I've watched the Brothers Grimm since and stuff but TDK is so weird I think because in my head it sort of killed him, he wasn't sleeping after making the movie and the sleeping pills killed him. IDK IDK. The performance also seems to be quite horrifying and unflinching. Blargh.
