So tighten your buttocks, pour juice on your chin, I promised my girlfriend I'd play the violin

I was going to do a big old update but I can't be bothered to think of proper words. However I want to get some stuff down so bullet points it is.

  • Doctor Who. Fabulous. Just fabulous. I watched season 2 mainly because I liked season 1, but it didn't grab me as much as I hoped it would. This season though? Fantastic. Apart from 42, which was ( Read more... )

"Because life is short and you are hot". Oh yes you are, Carey Mulligan.

Indeed she is. ^^

I read a press release about a production of Othello at the Donmar the other day. I nearly died of squee. Chiwetel Ejiofor as Othello, Kelly Reilly as Desdemona and freaking Ewan McGregor as Iago. Tickets go on sale October 15th. I'm so there.

OMFG. There. Stage dooring*. Sounds wonderful.

David.

*I say this - I'm not sure I've ever successfully stage doored at the Donmar. But I'm gonna try.

'Othello' at the Donmar is on my radar too, if I can be quick enough to get a ticket!

Did you saw the Padalecki video I posted? :p

I saw it after I wrote that. He is, apparently, the nicest man in Hollywoodland. And not unlike a large, humanised, puppy.

I've never been to the Donmar. Although I would like to see Betrayal at some point. How good is that cast, though? Eee!

THE MOFF IS GOD, THE MOFF IS GOD!

I've written that about 5, 000 times since Saturday all over the interwebs. The Moff needs to give me a commission.

I'm not sure. I don't feel a massive pull to rush out and buy tickets because I didn't watch ADWD at all, but I love the show so very much that I'll probably go at some point. To the cheap seats this time. *g*

Steven Moffat certainly writes the best episodes of Doctor Who, I'm convinced! :D

I hated The Girl In The Fireplace.

This sentence does not compute.

I think my head may explode.

:o)

David.

I'm glad you enjoyed A Matter of Life and Death, I though it was fabulous and I'm not entirely sure my friends all appreciated it as much *g* Anything with Doug in it, especially singing, is great but the play was just so different and had the feel of the film without feeling the need to stick too closely to it.

Blink was utterly fab too and my father seems to have decided maybe Who is worth a watch *g* I just saw the Utopia trailer and next week is going to be... well I was thrilled about Derek Jacobi's episode before I even registerd it was where we got Jack back too!

Also, hands off my Sammy!

Liss has never seen the film so I'm going to make her watch it now, but the play worked really well, with the bikes and beds all over the place, and the "boy" almost-narrating. And Conductor 71 was fabulous, of course.

You have to learn to share your toys, Sarah...

Nope. He's all mine, I'll share him with Jensen and nobody else!

Conductor 71 was indeed wonderful.

btw.

I assume you've been reading the reports of Jared going to see Jensen in A Few Good Men? Because man they're actually trying to kill me with adorable, the pair of them!

But, but but! 42 Featured one of my favourite Doctor Who lines ever!

"Martha, I'm scared."

Never has the Doctor said those words to my knowledge. And that was pretty much the start of the Doctor getting more "emotional" and a bit dark in places and hopefully leading to an awesome conclusion with "the other last timelord".

having said that, the last three episodes have frankly been awesome. For consistently good Doctor Who stories, this season has been the best for a long while...and yes I am including everything from 1963 onwards in that statement :)

There were some good bits, yes (that being one of them) but I didn't like the ep overall, I'm afraid to say.
