LOL! I'm kind of between you and Kate. I am sad when I think of how cool Gaeta *used* to be. But having bad shit happen to you is no excuse to go all mutineer and evil--that's a cop-out. So I wasn't sad he got executed. I was surprised they shot them rather than airlocking them.

I think I'd rather be shot up by a firing squad than to slowly turn into a bloated, hypoxic, airlocked mess. Seems more of a soldiers death, too, FWIW.
I didn't cry, though. I got choked up a little, but no tears. I almost lost it when I saw Baltar's face, though, especially after that scene of the two of them just prior to the execution.
I loved the conversation at the end with Baltar and Gaeta. Hearing Gaeta talk about all the ideas he had, his passions, all representing other paths he could have taken. I think that makes his death all the more heart-breaking. Why do the smart guys make such foolish choices?
Tom Zarek almost had me believe in him until he had the quorum shot up. I'm not surprised it ended up being a power-thing for him. Eat bullets, D-bag!! (Love Hatch, though. What an awesome portrayal!)

6 more episodes. I'll really be weeping, then.
