An adorable baby afghan (if I do say so myself)

Once upon a time (in January if I must be more exact) I posted pictures of my first afghan.  That took me 10 years or so agonizing years to complete.

But good news--I now know what it takes to finish an afghan.  Leave the crochet supplies next to the couch, and when watching a movie or the news, crochet for a few minutes.

And guess what--with ( Read more... )

Thanks! It feels so good to be done--and now it's actually done. I thought I'd finished it a few days ago, but then some of the seams started coming undone because I hadn't tied them off properly. But I fixed them, and now it's truly finished.

I love crocheting! I crocheted a baby blanket for my first daughter while I was pregnant and still have it, though it wouldn't win any beauty pageants. It is meditative. I like doing it while listening to conference talks. If it wasn't disrespectful I'd love to do it at church, too!

My colors are too all over the place to win any beauty pageants either--but the cool thing about crocheting is there's so many ways to make it beautiful. I must admit--I've also been tempted to do it at church, but I've resisted the temptation.

My plan for this afghan is actually that it will be for my first daughter. And no, I'm not pregnant. So I guess I should make a boy afghan too, so either way I'll be covered.

Thanks!

I'm sorta dreading going to Pilates again tonight, but I know I'll enjoy it once I get there. That's comforting that it's better after the first week. :-)

Thanks!

I guess it is rather normal for men to be better than women at most physical activities. But it is nice to have something I'm better at.

Thanks! It feels so good to be done. What's cool is each of the individual pieces looks so much better as part of an afghan than by itself.
