The capital city of Canada celebrates the National Film Board's 70th anniversary with production photos from movies throughout the Ottawa downtown area. Some of my favourites.

Saw these in Ottawa this summer. Some of my favourits too. The great white north in the third one like winter coming upon us. And barely had summer.

This zone looks so much like our National Theatre and Film theatre in London on the south bank of the Thames. So where is Ottawa in Canada? East West? I seriously need to look at an Atlas. I'm coming to Canada in September and I haven't a clue.

Ottawa is in Eastern Canada just a couple of hours north of the border to the U.S. Here's a link to a map that shows a location.

You're coming this month? Where in Canada are you travelling to?

Not having had the pleasure of visiting London yet I'll take your word on the similarities. I'll be visiting in France next month - if I have time maybe I can make a detour to England. Dying to go there.

I think that's a fairly popular route. Some lovely scenery. You'll completely bypass my area by the way I don't live in the city of Ottawa just work there. I live in a village in the province of Quebec a stone's throw away.

Halifax is a very nice city and harbour. I have family there. Very touristy though. Lots of night life. The local breweries have a couple of decent beers -- Moosehead and Alexander Keiths!

Been to Boston too and I loved it. Boston Common was a real treat but favourite part was walking the Longfellow Bridge over the Charles River after hearing a very romantic story about the poet's nightly walks over it.

Sounds like you and Gary have a nice trip planned.
