I'm not going to do a round up post for the decade because sad things happened but last year was a good one personally (though not for the country). We did a number of very nice things, which I haven't written about, went on a couple of wonderful holidays, which I also haven't written about and generally had a very good time

I've been looking over my entries for 2010 - I hadn't realised how traumatic that year was for me! OMG! I much prefer my life now.
I love the sound of that Rembrandt lecture - lilachigh and I are off to see the exhibition at the Dulwich Picture Gallery later this month.
We need to find some time to do something in London! I shall email you in the next few days and we must get something in the diary :)

I shall try and keep up with the meme but I suspect I may not manage all of it.
The Rembrandt lecture was amazing. I don't think Simon Schama paused for breath for over an hour. Fortunately we had been to the Rembrandt exhibition when we were in Amsterdam last February so I had at least an inkling of what he was talking about but even Melvyn Bragg looked a little stunned.

I've read a lot of "light entertainment" too but I was quite pleased to manage some longer books that had been sitting on my TBR list for far too long. Now to tackle the rest!
