I so much want to see Saving Mr Banks! And Philomena too, of course.

And I wholly concur re the greatness of Acker's Beatrice.

Amy Acker was really fabulous as Beatrice. I hope it leads her to lots more interesting work.

Both Saving Mr Banks and Philomena are well worth seeing.

Manhy hugs back :)

You've been quite busy. Probably the next film I'll see is the Hobbit one, just because we're going to NZ in a month or so and will be at some of the locations.

It's funny because up until last month the only film I'd seen this year was Star Trek! Suddenly loads of films came round at once.

I've very much enjoyed all the Miss Dido Kent books and I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

Both those films have had good reviews so it's nice to see that they really are worth going to see.

I really enjoyed both of them.

I'm trying to ration myself with the Dido Kent books. I hate running out of books in a series so I tend to keep one or two in hand. Weird, I know :)

I really ennjoyed 'Much Ado About Nothing' - and I agree about Amy Acker, as well as Beatrice and Benedick's backstory. :)

I'd never recommend seeing a movie in 3D since I loathe the format, but I can definitely HIGHLY recommend Gravity. I had no idea what to expect and it was stunning. (I saw it in 2D and didn't feel cheated at all.)

Oh, thanks for that. I'm really not fond of 3D for reasons of eye strain but I'd seen so many people saying that "Gravity" *must* be seen in 3D that I thought I was going to have to bite the bullet and suffer aching eyes.

I've always had a feeling that Beatrice and Benedick had a history :) Amy Acker really was a revelation. I always thought she was good but I didn't know she was that good.

I thought it was gorgeous even in 2D. I guess I could understand people recommending the 3D, but tbh I don't think any movie *needs* to be in 3D. LOL.

I don't think any movie *needs* to be in 3D either. It just gives an excuse to add more special effects and put up the cost of cinema tickets. I might still make an exception for "Gravity" if hubby wants to see it in 3D, but usually I avoid 3D like the plague.

The Dean books are on my To Read list which never gets shorter.

I enjoyed Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing and concur that Amy Acker was excellent.

She really was. I hope she gets to do more on the strength of it.

The Dean books are great fun and quick to read. My To Read list never gets shorter either!
