What a lovely set of pictures! I've only been to Greenwich once, but I loved the visit -- and as you probably know, I adore those Thames boat trips. :)

It's amazing how much the Docklands area between Central London and Greenwich has changed over the years and you really notice it from the river. It used to be quite derelict and now there are smart flats for very rich people everywhere.

I loved Greenwich when I was there. The Painted Hall was lovely although we missed the Chapel as they were having services. Happy anniversary!

Happy Anniversary! It sounds like a wonderful couple of days.

Also, the now infamous Walkie Talkie building, currently employed by Transport for London to shoot death rays at cars which people have been foolish enough to bring into London.

And lots of thanks for sharing these wonderful photos. Cavendish and I went to Greenwich a couple of years ago. Such a phantastic and interesting place. If only my memories of said excursion weren't so overshadowed by the fact that the day of our trip to Greenwich was also the day we had to spend the night at Stanstead airport....

I think having to spend a night at Stanstead would overshadow everything! I'd forgotten how lovely Greenwich is though the sunny weather certainly helped it look its best.
