I don't usually do these as my brain goes blank when required to provide lists of more than two. All of these are things I was unspoiled for and it would probably have been a lot easier to do if I didn't have the occasional fall off the spoiler free wagon. Buffy Season 6, you have a lot to answer for *g ( Read more... )

I haven't seen "Family" for ages but I still remember the shock of realising they hadn't hit the emotional reset button and Picard wasn't just going to shrug off the Borg experience.

I was amazingly impressed at your virtue cleaning your kitchen floor on your birthday. I did mine yesterday too, but that was because I was starting to stick to it!

It was certainly the best story they ever told on that show.

I was only cleaning the floor because I had to!

I agree with Highlander. And I adore Darla. Interesting that she was so different in that first show then the Darla we got to know later in Angel. The actress even mentions it in the dvd interviews. I think one of the things that surprised me in Buffy though was when Tara was killed.

I agree with Highlander.

Hubby and I sat there for 5 minutes unable to say a word from total shock after that episode. And J hated Richie!

Yes, it is quite a jarring difference but I don't really mind it because of the fascinating character she later became. Even as early as "Angel" which is about the fifth episode I think all the potential of Darla and Angel's relationship is already there.

I think one of the things that surprised me in Buffy though was when Tara was killed.

I was spoiled for that so it didn't really have the impact it otherwise would have done. It was one of those times when I should have chanted to myself "spoilers are evil, do not look" but didn't!

"Two Cathedrals" is one of my most favourite WW episodes.

Can't say I can recall any surprising moments in TV series, but I remember the shock I felt on reading the first words of the last chapter of John Grisham's "Presumed Innocent".

I haven't actually read "Presumed Innocent", but I have seen the film so I'm presuming I know which shock you mean. Now I come to think about it I think we may have the book somewhere as I think J has read it. Another to add to the TBR pile!

"Two Cathedrals" is one of my most favourite WW episodes.

It's such an amazing episode and the ending with "Brothers in Arms" playing just kills me every time.
