Day Dream Beliver

So, one of the challenges over at writerverse right now is to write your dreams realized. I'm not sure that I've one exactly that, but I tried. I've got two different dreams here, and oh so typical really. Dreams of education and love.

"I’d like to point out that at no point in this dream was there the hope of making gobs of money. I gave up that dream when I decided to become a psych major." Hear, hear, ma'am! I'm an English major right now with a heavy focus on linguistics and discourse analysis, and I'm glad that there are others that just love what they're pursuing so much that the money doesn't matter. Your dream of grad school (halfway there!) echoes my own dreams, and it's touching to find a kindred spirit, especially one with such kind intentions ( ... )

I think I want the graduation more than the wedding, though some days its different. It amazes me the number of people I graduated with who don't have the desire to go to grad school, it seems to me the next logical step in education. And I love school so much I can't wait for August when my program starts. The wedding, I can see it so clearly, I probably should have put some more description in there, but the focus was really on the emotion so I'm glad that came across well.

Some people really just want to get out there, I suppose. :) That, and if you're in mathematics and like its applicability better than theory, then grad school might not be right for you. But seriously! With this economy, graduate school's the best thing American humanities students have got, haha.

I hope your fall semester goes well, you. :)

Oh I thought it was just fine. :) Perhaps you can tack on some setting details, to encourage the reader's imagination, or something, but the happiness and fulfillment is truly what made it.

Here's wishing you all the best with your dreams. You can achieve them, I'm pretty sure you can - you sound like someone who knows their goals and pursues them.

Your wedding day dream is beautiful! I think most of us want that <3
