Well, the countdown is on, and not just to the arrival of the new year (despite the fireworks that keep going off outside my window). Apologies for the delay in posting. I had a day where there was no internet at the hotel, then I had a night playing with my new sat nav, wehich I purchased for use in the UK and then to take home (shiny!), this is the first chance I've had. Ah, the joys of making plans and then having them disappear out the window. I had planned to go to Salzburg today and revisit the Christkindlmarkt and do some other shopping, but thanks to it being a public holiday, I had only a small window of travel time. Then the bus didn't come. Then the sun came up to reveal a world that looks like this:

Today I went to visit the Museum in Archenkirch, which I went to see on my last visit to Pertisau as well. This time, however, was once again Christmas-themed: a crib.

Ooh, one week of the trip down and I spent today on (not in!) the water. The Achensee ship company who usually runs the ferries in summer had arranged to have afternoon and evening sailings on the Advent weekends, so I purchased tickets for both sailings today, one at 1.30pm and the other 4pm. Just a short note tonight as my bed is singing siren songs. I didn't do anything particularly touristy today, but instead did general Christmas-type shopping with a girl I met here a few days ago and her gorgeous 13-month-old daughter.
