I liked Caitlin Todd as a character on the show. She was opinionated, very sure of herself and sometimes obnoxious but a very strong woman who could bend if it was needed and always had her team member's backs. I was really upset when they wrote her out of the show. Such a pity that Sasha Alexander didn't want to stay.

Tony & Good luck... he'll need it.

When I wrote that part I had to snicker. I suspect that whoever assigned Pope-Leyton wanted to either punish her or Gibbs for something. Or both of them. With poor Tony caught in the middle.

I never disliked Mann, she wasn't badly written and I could understand the attraction. She had a similar job to Gibbs, was a soldier herself and had principles. I guessed that it couldn't end well, her being a rebound after Gibbs' new mourning period and Mann's expectations.

Of course Tony, in any universe, is a much better choice as a life partner!

Oh, don't get me wrong. I never disliked her either! (Apparently, we're totally in the minority here...*g*) I didn't like the way she bullied Gibbs at times (and got away with it!), that seemed out of character for Gibbs, though I always explained that away with him still feeling raw after what you call "new mourning period". Gibbs wasn't Gibbs for a while, so I tried to tell myself that the new Gibbs would let himself be treated like that. ;)

Then again, I always liked Jeanne (until she tried to frame Tony for murder...LOL) and actually thought this relationship worked really well and showed us the real Tony (even if it was DiNardo and not DiNozzo).

Guess for someone who fanatically supports her OTP Tibbs, I'm okay with the guys fooling around with others...LOL!

But either way, in your universe, Tony is the perfect mate for Gibbs and so the silver fox'd better not do something really stupid! *shakes fist at him in warning* LOL!

Cait rocks. I always thought it was a pity Kate hadn't been around when Mann appeared on the scene, since she would surely have put her in her place as she deserved.

Caitlin Todd rocks! She never held back with her opinion (soemtimes she should have) or at least expressed it with an eybrow lift that worked better than a thousand words what she thought. I miss her still.

^^ I have to defend the poor quarter master who arranged for their house and equipped it. He most likely thought the stupid navy guys made a mistake with the capital F in Feline. And trust those crazy DC people to drag a pet with them.

^^ it was fun writing that part. Litter boxes are a necessary evil! For all real house cat owners. Gibbs should be really happy that his is a feline with a capital F.
