(Lack of) Adventures in Swiss-occupied France

I'm having trouble writing about my trip to Geneva bc I feel bad about being so negative. Did you type that right? *FORTY-FIVE DOLLARS* for a burger?

Yes. Jon and I had a long conversation about why they don't have good steak in Switzerland, considering how many cows they have.

Avoid the French speaking 1/3. Seriously. I lived in Switzerland for two years (well 18 months in Switzerland and seven months in Konstanz Germany), and I never once had a good time in the French areas.

The people were band or rude, the only impressve curch was in Basal, and it was only cool because of all the stairs it had, the food was...I don't know, bland. And everything was expensive (but that's true of all of Switzerland).

The German speaking areas though, if I could afford it, I'd live there. Zurch, Wollerua, Thun, Interlaken, Luzern, etc, the list goes on and on of awesome cities, beautiful places, and German food perpared with Swiss perfection.

Don't have a choice: my brother lives in Geneva :(

The only real saving grace is the Savoyard food.

Geneva is tough. If it was Bern, or Basal, the bullet train runs through them to Zurich, which is an amazing city itself (Bahnhoff Strasse is not to be missed) as well as a good jumping off place to explore the better half of the country :)

Now I have to ask, and this is goign to seem weird, but why does your name on lj appear as "katestine* -- Its Scott"?
