I completely agree with what you say about writing these! Even listing ten things about myself I often find difficult so to come up with a list about a character really makes you explore them. You've completely reminded me I forgot to tag anyone, perhaps you could explore one (or two!) of the Ottomas women. I loved the way they were portrayed in Great Expectations and would love to know more about their motivations.
And Ajay, I made him a contract killer and I feel mixed about him! Thank you, I'm glad I just don't come across confused ;)
Maybe I'm just optimistic but I think there are generally reasons behind 'troubled' kids and I really do think Dustin is a good kid.
The first one for Dustin really breaks my heart. Talk about a weight to carry! This really paints him in a sweet light. I love the chances your story has taken with the Brokes.
Oh man, the Ajay facts have just stirred up my appetite for more. He seems remorseful, but then why did he do it? I really want to like him, but children?
I think can't help but see Dustin as a good guy, I mean everyone has faults.
Ajay's faults on the other hand are on a much larger scale. All of the reasons he puts his actions down to, such as his emotional numbness, not knowing exactly how young they were and blind greed, aren't enough for him to forgive himself. I guess time will tell how everyone else feels about him!

Especially the reactions he's had to doing wrong. He's a good guy in a bad situation.
The smell of chlorine making him sick is so sad.
