Yes, another one! remisims tagged me for Dustin Broke while pascal-curious and emmelfish tagged me for Ajay Loner.
Content warning: Ajay has a dark past and as such his character profile mentions violence.
Dustin Broke
1. After Skip died, he hated that he looked like his dad. There were times his mum would at him and uncontrollably burst into tears.
2. Before the pay television was turned off he’d spend hours watching Animal Planet.
3. Since his father drowned the smell of chlorine makes him nauseous.
4. Angela spoke to him for the first time in the third grade. It had been a dare. He wishes he knew who dared her so he could thank them.
5. The reason he wanted a job was to get a birthday present for his mum.
6. When his friend Gordon took him out pick pocketing for the first time he went home and vomited. He wanted to tell his mum why he was sick but couldn’t bear the thought of her being ashamed of him.
7. Dustin always struggled at school, although it was only in the fifth grade that he was diagnosed with dyslexia. Despite getting help, by then he had lost all confidence in his academic abilities.
8. He hates beer but drinks it to fit in.
9. When his brother was born his dad made him promise he would be a good brother to Beau. He can’t think of anything he wouldn’t do to keep that promise.
10. He remembers his parents being very in love and simply happy to be in the company of each other. He hopes he and Angela will be like that, except without him dying and stuff.
Ajay Loner
1. He drinks a lot of coffee; black with no sugar.
2. When things were very tight financially, Miloney took a second job waitressing nights at a jazz bar Downtown. The manager turned a blind eye to ten year old Ajay being there which allowed Miloney to work as well as keeping an eye on her grandson. To this day he has a deep passion for music, especially jazz.
3. He is a bit of gadget nerd and loves having the latest phone.
4. Ever since that last job, he has suffered from panic attacks. He’s been prescribed Valium but really hates taking it.
5. He is allergic to cats.
6. He cringes when he turns on the news to hear of a mass shooting, it seems the gunman is always described as a loner.
7. When he is really stressed he talks out loud to his grandmother.
8. He knows exactly how many lives he’s taken.
9. He used to watch a lot of CSI. Not because he enjoyed the show, but because he felt it made him more careful.
10. His grandmother, no matter how late she had worked, would get up early to make fresh bread. There is no smell more comforting to Ajay than the smell of baking bread.
