If it was just the celibacy, some things are worth waiting for. But the emails?? WTF???? Once a manslut, always a manslut. You can't change another person.
I am still going into midwifery. I'll be done in 3 short months, thankfully. I've been searching for jobs in the area but it's been rough.
If it was just the emails and we were humping like gorillas I wouldn't feel like such an asshole. I've given him so much benefit of the doubt thinking "ohhh, he's sensitive. ohhh, he's different. No, he's not. He's got emotional issues the depths of which I don't even know. But yes, if it was just celibacy I could deal for a while longer.

This is just my opinion, but it appears as if he has far too many issues for him to be a compatible life partner for you. He also seems selfish, requiring you to be patient, be understanding, make sacrifices, while he does exactly as he pleases behind your back. I believe that you deserve someone better than this fellow, someone less damaged. Good luck with whatever decision you make, dear!
