You are, you will. I love you for it. I really do feel inspired by what you do. And I need inspiration for my own struggle against...baseness, mediocrity, waste, selfishness...there's a beautiful quote by George Bernard Shaw I have taped to my mirror that I'd put here, but I think I will make it a post, instead. Look for it soon?
I feel the need to remind you that People. Can. Help. I feel as if I could have written parts of your post myself, and if you think and feel what I do/did, that's the most important thing to remember. My darkest times were when I tried to do it all myself (and "it" is very broad here: not just thinking and working but a complex psychological/philosophical approach to life), and when I didn't succeed...well, it was miserable and just got worse and worse. Those people, that world, you are trying to help: they need you. And you need them.
I need to go and haven't composed this very well, but perhaps you will understand. My love and best wishes and all warmth and joy to you.
Hi Kate! This is Ben. I found you on LJ! Ah, the joy of finding your friends on the internet.
Sounds like a lovely schedule you have. What do you play in orchestra?
I appreciate the seriousness, self reflection, and candor you approach these musings with. I enjoy posts like this, and most people don't bother to make them.
