I turned in my thesis draft a little before noon, after getting a good night's sleep and then writing my conclusion. It still needs a great deal of work-- the introduction just has the building blocks of what needs to be there, and the conclusion has all the ideas in more or less the right order but without much meat on them. Today is the first time in months when I've felt again like I want to be a classicist.

Also, I have signed myself up for a very fucking crazy semester.

Chapter 1 Draft: finished, printed, collated, paperclipped, and turned in, about 40 minutes ago. I feel completely triumphant.

As of 5PM tomorrow (when I'm done for Fall Break, the !@$$^ paper I'm writing is turned in, my Latin midterm is finished, my obligations are over for the moment, and I can go back to working constantly-but-on-my-own-schedule), I will be done with one quarter of my senior year ( Read more... )
