Our plans to meet family at Branched Oak Lake fell through because we've had rain all day. :( BUT!! It has since stopped raining so hopefully we'll be able to see the fireworks display in our old stomping grounds of Waverly. (on the minus side - we've got three days worth of potato salad, tenderized beef, pork 'n beans and brownies to eat now - might get a tad tired of them. Not the brownies of course! ;)
I do - for the most part - love this country. It amazes me how we became what we are with some of the looney-tunes we have, but that's part of it all. And I love that we continue to fight and grow and struggle with "truths" about life. Sometimes it maddens me, sometimes it scares me, but I don't think I'd want to live anywhere else.
Glad LM is doing so well, and that your children continue to be a source of wonder and not worry. *whew*
