While I'm putting off working on the next part of Collide, I was wondering if you had any questions concerning the universe/characters/how I came up with things/etc. I won't answer questions on what's going to happen next (mainly because the answer is 'a lot') but I will answer questions like 'is such-and-such significant?' or possibly 'why did you

he has actually disappeared. It's really only mentioned once when Remus first finds out that Sirius Black is Regulus Black's brother.
(He felt foolish suddenly that he hadn't made the connection between the affluent and influential pureblood wizarding family the Blacks and Sirius. True, he didn't subscribe to the Prophet but in the year since Voldemort's defeat and Regulus' disappearance there had been a number of books released, many of which were best sellers on the wizarding charts.)
So, I suppose he could be presumed dead but he's not a missing person, per se, he just chose to make himself disappear.
When Remus remarks that Sirius must miss his brother though, I can see how that would be taken as Reg being dead.
Thanks for pointing this out, I should make it more poignant or something as it may come up later.

ah, a good question. I haven't given him too much thought although he keeps flittering through my mind for different roles. Someone asked if I was going to reveal who the stalker was and I thought to myself, 'wouldn't that be great if after the war Snape just went crazy and started stalking Sirius?' and then I thought, 'or not.'
I'm going to go with Azkaban on this one for a couple reasons:
Doesn't Snape go to Dumbledore only when he finds out about the plot against the Potters? In the case of canon they're married and already have Harry but in my AU, Voldemort might not have even been after them because there is no Prophecy involving Harry since Harry isn't born yet(I suppose there could still be a Prophecy referring to Neville but I'm not even going to go there). So, one must wonder if Snape would have gone to Dumbledore at all... In any case, I'm saying he's still spending some time there, though probably not life because I can still see him going to Dumbledore, though probably not until it was already almost too late.

Finally, we don't know that Snape went to DDore over the plot against the Potters. It's one of those things fandom assumed very early on. Instead, we know Snape heard part of the Prophesy and that Dumbledore knew Snape had heard part of it. And your James and Lily lived, so wouldn't it make more sense that Snape turned hero even sooner than expected, rather than stayed on the side of Dark, ending him in Azkaban?

ah, thank you. It's been a while since I've read the books (and heard about Snape's relation to the Prophecy) and you're right, it's possible that Snape turned good sooner than expected. Also a good point about the Pranking towards Snape, especially since Regulus was part of their group, he would have been reluctant to be cruel to someone in his own house. Now I feel like I should write Snape in somehow, heh...
