I heard about the Chapman girl from my mother this morning. It's heartbreaking. I feel so sorry for the son who was behind the wheel, he's got to be just tortured with guilt. :-(

I know - I can't imagine what any of them must be going through, but it has to be incredibly hard for him.

It's every parent's worst nightmare.

I can sort of imagine for the brother--my cousin was behind the wheel in the accident that killed his mother, my aunt. :-( But only somewhat. And Stephen and Mary-Beth...yeah, losing a child is something I can't imagine and don't want to. :-(

Definitely will be keeping the Chapman family in my prayers for a while.

I have to say, it's probably my second least-favorite Indy film (I wasn't too thrilled on the whole secret Thugee heart-ripping cult, and Short Round was kind of annoying, as was Willie, but damn that mine chase was awesome)-- but I can see why now you put Shia down ( ... )

OH OH OH!
I almost forgot!

There was a second Young Indy reference! He said he went to school with Oxley at the University of Chicago, which was covered in Mystery of the Blues, even if Oxley wasn't in the ep. This is also where Indy studied under Professor Ravenswood, where he met Marion and had the falling out with her father over her, leading to the drama in Raiders.

That alien in Indiana Jones looked like Ra from the Star Gate movie. And I could have done will less Tarzan swinging. But otherwise... fun movie.

oh my....i thought about texting you yesterday about scc's daughter's death but figured you probably already heard about it on the news. absolutely awful. i can't even begin to imagine the pain they're experiencing. and their son! oh man...it's tragic.

i love that song he did for narnia, though. it's one of the very few i like by him.

btw..i lied. i saw prince caspian today. and i cried. i cried during lion, witch, and wardrobe, too. not out and out weeping, just a little tear here and there, but definitely tears. i thought i should tell you.

Thanks for coming clean - lying is bad, Annie. Resist the urge! haha....

I didn't cry during Narnia, but it was touching. Having not read the book there were definitely some parts that I wasn't prepared for, and therefore saddened by, like when (vague spoiler-free reference) two of the characters said their final goodbyes. Aww...

I know, I know....I must have repressed the memory until I saw Prince Caspian and it all came flooding back...(bad bad unintentional pun)

Funny, though...the scenes like the one you describe aren't the ones that make me well up. I got tears when (spoiler..?) the gate was closing and a whole bunch got left behind to basically get massacred. Battle scenes make me teary. In LL&W I think my emotions spilleth over when Aslan was on the stone table and then up from the grave he arose. And other times.
