From the Soul to the Song
Verse Nineteen

She led them from the building and down a small graveled path. It appeared as though it ended at a raised platform that was sitting in what looked like the middle of the town square. Scattered around the platform were hundreds upon hundreds of people talking to each other. The cleared area was surrounded on all sides, except for the one they were entering through, by buildings. The buildings all had no front wall, but instead housed either a large table or a counter, on which all varieties of food and drink could be seen.

Super Junior was stunned into silence as they were lead to where they were supposed to perform. As they moved down the path, the people paused in their conversation and bowed deeply to them as they passed. The nameless woman led them up to the platform and gestured for them to step up.

“Um do we have some sort of microphones?” Leeteuk asked glancing around. There was no way their voices alone could carry through the whole square.

“There is no need,” she said politely. “The farthest person will hear your voice as if you were standing beside them, Singer of Earth. You need not worry.”

“Alright then. I don’t mean to be rude but we don’t want to overstay our welcome…” he let his sentence trail off.

“We would be honored if you would perform a few selections for us and then if you chose, we would be honored to perform for you. As you can see there is much food and drink for you to enjoy and we would be honored to hear from you for as long as you would like all evening,” she told him politely.

Leeteuk nodded. “Thank you.” It sounded like they were to open the festival and then they could chose to participate again whenever they wanted.

“How did we miss all of this?” Heechul asked, looking around.

“I have no idea,” Siwon agreed.

“Ok we need to do a couple of songs to open the festivities,” Leeteuk told the group as they huddled up.

“I am not dancing ‘Sorry Sorry’ in this,” Heechul stated plainly.

“I say we start off with Angela and move onto Miracle,” Yesung suggested. “Neither one has choreography we have to do, and they should both be fresh in our minds since they are part of our Super Show II.”

“That sounds good,” Leeteuk agreed. “Zhou mi do you know them?”

“Well enough,” he agreed.

“Great, you harmonize. Henry do you know them well enough to play them on the violin?”

Henry paused for a moment. “Probably. I think if I try I will just be able to feel them and play them because they are your songs.”

“Our songs,” Leeteuk corrected absently. “Ok so that is the plan. We don’t have or need mics, so let’s just do this. We’ll stand in a loose circle around the stage so that our backs aren’t to anyone.”

Everyone nodded and they spread out on the stage. Heechul ended up in a position that left him looking right at Yunho. He glared and the man smirked. SS501 and DBSK had front row seats, beside them there was an open area containing fifteen cushions. Heechul guessed that that would be their spot should they choose to sit and enjoy the festival.

Henry closed his eyes and held out his hands. He reached within himself for the gift that he had been given by his friends. There was a shimmer in the air above his hands and suddenly his violin appeared. Smiling he tucked it under his chin and lifted his bow. He searched within himself, almost as if he was searching a file cabinet full of music. When he found the correct one, he tugged lightly and the notes filled his head.

Henry opened his eyes and began to play. Moments later Super Junior began to sing.

~♪~♪♫♪~♪~

Angela had faded, as planned, into Miracle. After that they had determined they couldn’t stop there and moved onto Y.M.C.A. To their surprised nearly the entire crowd stood up and learned the motions for the song with them. They flowed naturally into Wonder Boy, during which a great majority of the gathered people stayed on their feet and danced.

Then just to prove a point they performed Sorry Sorry next, complete with its dance. Eunhyuk found it entirely too fun that he could somehow dance, unhindered, in his outfit. They had been laughing and surrounded by much clapping by the gathered guests when they had relinquished the stage to SS501.

Super Junior found it was just as fun to sit and watch their peers perform and they cheered as if they were fangirls enjoying a concert. It was almost worse when DBSK got on stage and proceeded to pull half of Super Junior up as back dancers.

By the time they had finished the festival was well underway. Yunho laughed as he jumped off the platform as his group was replaced by an entirely instrumental one. The group began to play a light tune, to which some of the gathered people danced to while others decided to investigate the presented food.

“It just sort of dissolves from here. They are the politest audience ever, to honor us while we open. Now that that is done they will always welcome more performances from us, but everyone will generally do their own thing. I’m sure you can see clumps of people doing anything from dancing to just sitting and talking,” Yunho said with a grin.

“This is crazy,” Leeteuk agreed as he laughed happily and clapped along with the music. “Do they do this every year?”

“No, every fifty or so. They rotate who attends so that all the people that live here in Sanctuary can attend.”

“Where do they all come from?” Henry asked.

“No idea. I never got around to asking,” Yunho answered. He glanced over at Changmin who was beginning to weave his way through the crowds and waving for him to follow. “I have to go get some food. You all should too. Our spots will be here. Don’t worry about paying, everything here is shared. You’ll have to ask Vidyagauri about that one too.”

Leeteuk nodded and looked at his group. “Everyone grab a buddy and stay together.”

“Yes mother,” Heechul said sarcastically as he hooked arms with both Hankyung and Siwon.

Eunhyuk grinned and grabbed Donghae’s hand. “Food here I come!” Donghae laughed and they took off at a run with Kibum following them and muttering something about needing leashes.

Leeteuk sighed as he watched their group trickle off to go explore. Kangin laughed. “Don’t worry so much Teukie. They are safe here. Nothing will hurt them, we are honored guests remember. Now come on,” he pushed Leeteuk forward gently. “There is some beer with our name on it somewhere.”

~♪~♪♫♪~♪~

The first thing Leeteuk found was that there were conveniently provided baskets for the collection of food and drink. That seemed like a fantastic idea since there were so many different places the cover.

The second thing he found was that not only was everything entirely free, everyone was more than willing to allow them as much as they wanted. Everywhere they went, people kept expressing how honored they were that they would even think to sample their offering of food. Leeteuk was fascinated by all of the choices around him. It seemed as though every culture was represented in some form or another. Not only that, the food seemed to span time as well. He found some things that he was certain only existed thousands of years ago and they were fantastic.

He and Kangin had only made it a quarter of the way around the shops before his basket was full of food and Kangin’s full of different bottles and containers of drink. They made their way back through the people to their spots with their catch. Once there, they found that several of the other members had done the same. Donghae had designated his basket for desert like things and a few other odds and ends while Kibum had gotten the drinks and Eunhyuk had loaded his down with as much meat as he could handle.

Leeteuk settled onto the padded cushion and began to eat the food that was different from anything he had ever tasted. Kangin immediately opened a bottle which Leeteuk snatched replacing it with a wonderfully uniquely flavored piece of meat. Kangin grinned and ate the meat in two bites while Leeteuk sipped from the bottle before handing it back. It seemed to be a liquor of some sort but it had a strangely fruity flavor. They settled on sharing the bottle between them while they ate the various things they had collected. When it was finished, they broke into another bottle.

A few hours later he found he was having a wonderfully good time. It was nice to be able to relax and have a good night and not have to worry about the repercussions of it. There were no eyes or cameras waiting to record their every move and use it to tarnish their image, or at least he certainly hoped there weren’t, since Heechul had just finished dancing a rather seductive dance with Hankyung on stage.

He laughed lightly as Heechul and Shindong attempted to teach several people how to sing ‘Gee’ before the man had simply given up and pulled Siwon and Hankyung onto stage with him so that he could belt it at the top of his lungs.

During all of this, half of Super Junior was engaged in some sort of drinking game with DBSK that he hadn’t been able to determine the rules for and he was fairly certain he didn’t really want to know. Kyuhyun and Sungmin were wondering from building to building sampling the wine like some sort of coinsures. Shindong and Eunhyuk kept having impromptu dance competitions, while Heechul wanted to sing, dance, and drink for the simple fact that he could.

All of SS501 had dispersed through the crowd and were participating in a competition with each other. Leeteuk had only figured out what it was after Jungmin had run up to Yunho for the fourth time in two minutes. Apparently they were seeing which member could dance with the most women. Kyujong was winning with a running total of thirty three. Leeteuk didn’t know if that number or the fact that the member the farthest behind was only behind by three, was the most surprising.

He leaned back into Kangin and accepted the offer of their latest bottle. This one was non alcoholic, or at least he was pretty sure that it was. Not that he really needed any more alcohol. Regardless, it was sweet and fruity and he rather enjoyed it, nearly as much as he enjoyed the warmth of Kangin against his back. He took another sip and watched as Hankyung attempted to dance one of his traditional dances in his intoxicated state.

~♪~♪♫♪~♪~

Leeteuk had no idea what time it was when they arrived back home. He only knew that it was long after dark, and they had left a party that was still going strong. There had been a few members nodding off when the women who had led them to the party had appeared. She had offered them rooms in the town if they should choose. Leeteuk, with his half fuzzy brain, had decided that it was a much better idea for them to go home. Some of the members were beyond the safe levels of alcohol consumption to remain in public. That count quite possibly included himself.

Despite that, Heechul, who had snagged several bottles for the road, decided to set up a drinking game in the living room the moment they returned. The members that elected not to play - Zhou mi, Henry, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun, Sungmin, and Leeteuk - instead decided it would be best to head to bed.

Leeteuk knew he would need a clear head for the morning and that would never happen if he stayed up all night drinking like he wanted to. Kangin offered to make sure he got to his room safely and Leeteuk laughed, telling him that he wasn’t a woman and it was just a hallway. Kangin had followed him anyway.

“This is me,” Leeteuk said with a little giggle, jerking his thumb at his own door before he leaned his back against it heavily.

Kangin laughed, “It’s good you know your own room otherwise we could wander this hallway all night.”

Leeteuk smiled and tugged him close for a hug. “Thanks for my back,” he said softly. “If you hadn’t fixed it I never would have had as much fun as I did tonight.”

Laughing, Kangin wrapped his arms around Leeteuk’s waist. “You didn’t even do anything strenuous.”

“No but I didn’t have to deal with the pain all night.” Kangin hummed his agreement and rested his head on Leeteuk’s shoulder.

“Hey Teukie,” he said after a moment. Leeteuk hummed in question. “I’m horny,” Kangin’s words were punctuated by a little sigh.

“I can tell,” Leeteuk said with a joking laugh as he shifted his leg against Kangin’s half awakened anatomy. “What do you want me to do about it? I’m not a woman.”

“No,” Kangin agreed as he pulled his head up so their eyes could meet. “But I trust you.”

“So you do,” Leeteuk responded softly. He let Kangin lean in with the question written on his face, but he didn’t stop him, not even when the younger man pressed their lips together.

Maybe it was the alcohol or perhaps it was simply Kangin, but the moment their lips touched, Kangin growled and pressed Leeteuk firmly against his door. His hands came up to keep Leeteuk’s head still while he plundered his lips utterly and thoroughly.

A second later he tore his lips away only to affix them to Leeteuk’s neck. The older man gasped in surprise at the sudden wash of sensation and then poorly bit back a moan when Kangin rolled their lower bodies together. There was a nagging at the back of his intoxicated brain that he was forgetting something, but the man in front of him was doing a fantastic job of distracting him from that.

Kangin reached down and grabbed one of his legs. The younger man pushed Leeteuk’s robe up until it would accommodate Leeteuk’s leg being curled around his waist. The new position put their groins into closer contact and Leeteuk moaned deeply as Kangin rolled his hips. His hands scrambled to find something to grab onto.

“Fuck Teukie,” Kangin growled lowly, “you moan like a woman.”

Ah woman, that was it. “Youngwoon listen,” Leeteuk called in a half audible voice. “Youngwoon I,” he shuttered and trailed off into unintelligible syllables as Kangin thrust his hips sharply. “Youngwoon! Listen!” he called trying to keep his brain on track.

“Less talk,” Kangin told him, pulling away from his neck to kiss him deeply, “and more sex.” Another kiss and hip thrust made him nearly lose his idea completely.

“No,” he said sharply tearing his lips away. “No sex until you listen.”

“What?” Kangin asked finally, relenting and pulling his lips away. He put enough distance between their faces that he could watch Leeteuk without being too tempted, although their hips stayed pressed tightly together.

“Youngwoon, this isn’t,” Leeteuk started. “This isn’t,” he tried again trying to figure out how to phrase it. For one of the first times in his life, his lightening quick tongue was failing him. He blamed the alcohol. “I still want kids,” he finished lamely.

Kangin raised an eyebrow. “Is that it? That is what you stopped me for. Oh for the love of,” he trailed off with a sigh. “Jungsoo you are my best friend and at this point I have the feeling you are going to be a pretty amazing fuck, but if you think that I am going to shack up with you for the rest of my life you have another thing coming. I still plan to have an entire hoard of babies with a beautiful woman.”

Leeteuk released a grateful sigh. “I just wanted to make sure we are on the same page.”

“We are. Now can I fuck you?” Kangin asked with smirk.

“Such language,” Leeteuk scolded with a smirk of his own. He leaned his head forward and whisper hotly into Kangin’s ear, “Who says I won’t be fucking you.”

Kangin growled and hooked his hands beneath Leeteuk’s butt and hoisted him up. The older man squeaked and wrapped his legs around Kangin’s waist while clutching to his shoulders so as not to fall. Kangin waited as patiently as he could for Leeteuk to turn the door handle, allowing them into the room. He kicked it shut behind them and deposited Leeteuk on the bed.

Grinning wolfishly Kangin crawled on after him and slid his hands up the older man’s body. “Are you going to eat me?” Leeteuk teased.

“Maybe,” Kangin admitted jokingly. One of his hands rested on Leeteuk’s cheek. “Thank you Jungsoo,” he said softly, suddenly serious.

“You’re welcome,” he smiled and they shared a gentle kiss of understanding between them.

“Now,” Leeteuk said, his voice all business. “Are you going to do something about this mess you have created?”

Kangin grinned. “I suppose I should,” he admitted as he slid his hand down Leeteuk’s body to do just that.

~♪~♪♫♪~♪~

“My eyes!” a voice yelled from just inside the door. The sound of it stirred Leeteuk enough that he blinked open his eyes and squinted until they focused on Kyuhyun who was standing in the doorway. “Cover up or something!” Kyuhyun screamed as he clenched his eyes shut and covered his face with his hands.

“What are you doing just walking into my room anyway?” Leeteuk asked.

“I was coming to wake you up. It’s the afternoon already.”

“Hey Kyu are you-“ Sungmin’s voice echoed from the hallway.

“No, don’t come in!” Kyuhyun declared turning and holding out his hands as if he was saving Sungmin from horrible torture.

“What is wrong?”

“Appa and Umma just became real,” he muttered.

Sungmin sighed. “Them too? You know what this means Kyuhyun,” Sungmin said gravely. “We are next.”

There was the sound of someone being punched. “Don’t you ever say that!”

“Get out and close the door!” Kangin growled, having woken up enough to form speech. Kyuhyun gladly did as he was ordered.

At the sound of it latching shut Leeteuk laughed and cuddled closer to the warm body beside him. “I didn’t know you were a cuddler after sex,” he joked.

“I didn’t know you were a screamer,” Kangin returned.

“Well at least half of the fanfiction is right,” Leeteuk said proudly.

“I did not need to know that you read fanfiction.”

“Someone has to monitor the fans ideas so that we can adjust our fan service appropriately.”

“You and the duties you think a leader should be doing.”

Leeteuk laughed lightly before falling quiet again. “It’s not going to be weird between us when we get up is it?” he asked quietly.

Kangin sighed and shifted so that he could look at Leeteuk, who propped his head on Kangin’s chest to return his gaze. “What we did last night was something between two friends. That is all. I wouldn’t mind doing it again because it felt great, but it wouldn’t kill me if we never did it again either.”

Leeteuk nodded. “I was just afraid... I feel strangely connected to you or something,” he shrugged.

Kangin laughed. “You are strangely connected to me. You are my Singer. You offer me a piece of yourself all the time. Personally, I think that is more intimate then sex. Sex is just physical. Well mostly, but we know where we stand.”

“I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page,” Leeteuk said with a smile.

“Jungsoo, I love you. You know I do, but not in an ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you like this, just us’ sort of way. Not that I’m going to start sleeping around or anything,” he sighed. “I’m not articulating this very well.”

Leeteuk laughed. “What you mean to say is that you feel the same way I do. Unless you can suddenly give me a lot of pretty babies, I’m not staying with you like this forever.”

“Yeah,” Kangin sighed in relief. “That.”

“But while neither one of us is in a position to create beautiful babies we might as well enjoy what we have,” Leeteuk said with a smirk. He slid up the bed until he could press their lips together.

“I like that idea,” Kangin mumbled. He wrapped his arms around Leeteuk’s waist and pulled his smaller frame on top of his own.

“You’re makeup is still on,” Kangin said a moment later as he ran his thumb over the symbol of earth by Leeteuk’s right eye.

“Must be better then water proof. It’s sex proof too. So is yours,” he laughed.

Kangin stole a lazy kiss. “Hey Teukie, wasn’t this mark on the other side of your face last night?”

“Yes,” Leeteuk agreed pressing their lips together briefly again. “I didn’t feel anyone take painstaking time to paint it on my face last night. All they did was brush stuff on fairly quickly. I guess it must simply react to our own Songs. I noticed that every Singer who was sleeping with their Weaver had it on the right while the normal Singers had it on the left. No one but us could know who was sleeping with each other. So I figure our Song tells the makeup what to do.”

Kangin laughed and rolled them so that Leeteuk’s back was pressed against the bed and he was on top of the other man. “When did you get so smart?” he joked.

“I’m a hidden genius,” Leeteuk declared. Kangin laughed and leaned down for a kiss while his hands set to work on exploring the territory that they had mapped the previous night.

There was a loud knocking on the door. “If you two are making out in there, I’m going to get Heechul!” Kyuhyun shouted through the wood.

Leeteuk laughed and hooked his arms around Kangin’s neck. “Let him, what is Heechul going to do?”

“Laugh?” Kangin answered. Leeteuk laughed and let the man above him reward him with a lazy kiss.

~♪~♪♫♪~♪~

“Where are Leeteuk and Kangin?” Donghae asked, as Kyuhyun stormed back into the dining room where everyone had gathered.

“Enjoying their non hangover,” he said grumpily as he flopped down beside Sungmin.

Heechul laughed and sipped his tea. “You’re just angry because this place is turning everyone gay and you know your team is next.”

Kyuhyun flipped him the finger and the older man laughed harder. “Thanks, but I have been well and thoroughly fucked already.”

Hankyung chuckled and used his arm around Heechul’s waist to pull him closer so that he could kiss the light bruise on Heechul’s neck.

“I can see that,” Kyuhyun replied darkly, his eyes drifting over the light bruises on the man’s skin, some of which were clearly in the shape of finger prints.

“Some of us just like it rough,” Heechul said lightly and Hankyung chuckled.

Across the table Kibum glanced at Donghae and the older man flushed. “I felt that,” Donghae mumbled.

“I meant for you to,” Kibum said with a smirk. He exchanged a look with Eunhyuk who grinned and set his glass on the table. “If you all will excuse us, there is something I need to take care of.” He and Eunhyuk gathered a blushing Donghae and half dragged him from the room.

Their exit was punctuated by Kyuhyun’s head hitting the table in exasperation. “This place has turned my group into satyromaniacs,” he muttered into the wood.

“No some of them were that way before this,” Sungmin said with a smirk as he looked directly at Heechul. Heechul smirked right back.

“Don’t worry,” Shindong said patting Kyuhyun lightly on the back. “I’m sure you’re safe.”

“Just look at it this way,” Heechul said. “At least we are all healthy young men.”

“You shut up,” Kyuhyun ordered not lifting his head. “And don’t touch me!” The room exploded into laughter.

Character Information

AN: So when I was writing this I discovered that nymphomaniac is a term that only applies to females the male version is called a satyromaniac. Since it is Kyuhyun speaking I figured I would use the proper term... (For anyone who is really confused the term satyromaniac referse to a male who has a passion or excessive desire for sex. While a nymphomaniac refers to a female of the same type.) In other news I have narrowed the tracks for a album down to 22 or so for the first 20 chapters. I was thinking about giving it to you guys with the next chapter. If anyone wants to be creative and create some graphics for CD covers I would be more then willing to use them. ^_^
